About

I work in countries that have fundamental challenges – violent conflict, political upheaval, disease, and intense poverty. Many people who learn about the places I visit are shocked or at least apprehensive to go to these places. But, these countries have a unique story to tell and provide interesting experiences from which to learn. I have met the most incredible people and have had the most humbling experiences during my travels. On this site, I’ll share my experiences about my travel and the incredible people I have had the pleasure to interact with.

In the future, I hope to build this site into a place where people can gain awareness about issues affecting these countries as well as obtain useful travel tips for traveling to and getting the most out of visiting less well-known and less developed destinations. I will also be developing a section for reviewing eco-tourism hotels and service providers.
